Outlook Express 5 & 6 - News

To configure Outlook Express to read Expedient newsgroups:

  1. Open Outlook Express.

  2. Click the Tools menu and choose Accounts. Click the News tab. Click the Add button, and choose News.

  3. Enter your name in the Display Name field. This is how your name will appear when you post to a newsgroup. Click Next.

  4. Enter your Expedient email address. Click Next.

  5. Enter your News (NNTP) server. Click here for the list of Expedient News Servers. Enter your News Server and click Next.
    Note: If you are using our National Access news server, put a check in the My news server requires me to log on.

    Note: If you are using our National Access news server, you will be prompted for your username (in the form of username@expedient.net) and password. Click Next.
  6. Click Finish to complete the news server setup. Outlook Express is now configured to access newsgroups. When you close the Internet Accounts screen, you will be prompted to download the list of groups from the server (you must be online for this process).
