myStargate: Phonebook

The subscriber may use the interface in the Phonebook editor to add, change, or delete numbers in the Phonebook. Note: If you change the phone number, check with the phone company to be sure the number is local. Stargate cannot be responsible for toll charges.

  • Phonebook List – The user may select a number to edit or delete from the list. The list can be sorted by clicking on the column header.
  • New Entry – Creates a new entry in the Phonebook.
  • Delete – Deletes the currently selected phone entry.
  • Area Code – the area code of the currently selected number
  • Number – the number of the currently selected number
  • City – the city name of the currently selected number
  • State – the state/region of the currently selected number
  • Country Code – the country code of the currently selected number

Editing a Phonebook

A subscriber may edit a phonebook by opening the Phonebook from the shell interface.

To modify a Phonebook the user should follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the "Dial-Up Phonebooks" folder in "My Computer" (My Computer\Dial-up Phonebooks).

  2. Right-click on the appropriate icon and select "Properties".
  3. At this point the Dial Location editor will open.
  4. The first panel in the phonebook editor will request a new, unique name for the dial location.
  5. The second panel displays the standard phonebook editor panel.
  6. Edit the phonebook and click "Save" to save changes.
