Call Waiting:
If you have call waiting enabled and somebody calls when you are online, you
may be disconnected. The solution is to set your line to disable
call waiting while you are online. To do this:
- Open My Computer and double click Dialing Locations
- Double click the location you are using. (Most users will only have one location)
- In the Properties window check the box next to Disable Call Waiting and either type the prefix your phone company uses to disable call waiting, or choose it from the drop-down list.
Note: This prefix is usually *70. Because this prefix can vary depending the phone company, we suggest you check with you local telephone provider if you are not sure.
- Click Save and close the window.
