To keep your account configuration current, MyStargate checks to make sure your server addresses, dialup access numbers, and other variables are up-to-date every time you connect to the Internet. This usually takes just a few seconds to complete.
If there are critical changes to your account configuration, MyStargate will download the update and the changes will be activated automatically. However, you may need to close and restart open Internet applications or reboot your machine to activate the changes.
